Despite the fact that most drivers understand that a vehicle accident could happen at any time, there is no way to put a complete end to this. Instead, accidents will continue to happen from one side of the country to the next on a regular basis.
Recently, a tractor-trailer driver lost control and collided with several parked vehicles in the Baltimore area. As a result, two people were injured, one of whom was a University of Maryland police officer.
According to Baltimore City police, the string of car accidents happened around 9 p.m. in the downtown area on the University of Maryland Medical Center campus. They noted that an officer was sitting inside one of the vehicles when it was struck by the tractor-trailer. As a result of the accident, both the officer and the driver of the truck were taken to hospitals for the treatment of injuries. The extent of their injuries was not known.
Furthermore, fire crews were called to the area to clean up diesel fuel spilled onto the streets by the tractor-trailer. At this time, police continue to investigate the accident as they attempt to determine the cause.
From car accidents to truck accidents, you never know when a driver is going to make a poor decision that leads to a collision. In this case, a tractor-trailer was out of control when it crashed into multiple vehicles, causing two injuries.
Victims of motor vehicles accidents have a right to pursue compensation from the at-fault driver and/or his or her employer, if the accident occurred while the at-fault driver was working. Because of the complexities of such civil cases, the advice of experienced personal injuries attorney is usually warranted.
