Courting Art Baltimore

Courting Art is a program that promotes youth artwork, connects the legal community with local communities of Baltimore City, and aims to reduce stress and anxiety for litigants and visitors by beautifying local courthouses. Led by the District Court of Maryland, Baltimore Bar Foundation, Inc. and the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the contest is open to all Baltimore City public high school students. The contest entails a submission of a painting, drawing, or other two-dimensional works of art.

The top works are awarded prizes by a juried panel. Prizes include scholarships totaling $20,000.00 for art programs or post-high school degrees as well as gift certificates for art supplies. In addition, the top works are professionally reproduced for long-term display at the Baltimore City Eastside District Courthouse.

Cohen, Snyder, Eisenberg & Katzenberg P.A is now asking for applications directly from both individuals and organizations to continue its tradition of giving back. The financial contribution by COSEK will be awarded bi-annually in July and December, and recipients will be recognized on our website and social media outlets.

In order to qualify, an organization or individual must submit an application through our website. Individuals or organizations must provide examples of going above and beyond for those in their community and, should they be awarded the contribution, how the financial support will be used.
