Who is responsible for your workers' compensation insurance?

As a worker in Maryland, you need to know your rights. You are entitled to care if you're hurt on the job, and you shouldn't have to struggle through a difficult claims system to get the money and care you need. There are many laws in place that aim to keep you insured while working for your employer, and they provide certain benefits.

A construction accident can lead to challenges

There are many construction sites throughout the state of Maryland. Even though these sites typically appear to be safe, this is not always the case. For this reason, construction accidents occur from time to time.

Car accidents more common in northeast United States

If you live in the Baltimore area, you know one thing to be true: people like to drive fast. This is the case with many other big cities in the northeast part of the United States, including Philadelphia, Boston and New York City among others.

The Occupational Safety and Health Act influences you

The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 created The Occupational Health and Safety Administration for the purpose of reducing workplace hazards and to make sure workers stay safe at work everywhere in the United States. The standards and regulations put forth by OSHA cover all workplaces, from industrial to construction sites, making it possible for any employee in Maryland or other states to report dangerous working conditions.

Workplace accident related to defective equipment, maintenance

No matter where you work in the state of Maryland, there is always the chance that you could be involved in a workplace accident. Of course, some career fields are more dangerous than others, such as those in the construction industry.
