If you’re in a car accident in Maryland and suffer an injury or lose a loved one in the accident, then you can relate to this news about a crash involving Bruce Jenner. A Feb. 8 report has said that the fatal car crash involving Jenner had first been thought to have involved the paparazzi, but police have now reported that no sign of photographers chasing the vehicle was found.
Although police report that they have not confirmed who was at fault, the accident has been said to have happened as follows. First, an Escalade driven by Jenner ran into a Lexus from behind. That Lexus spun into oncoming traffic, resulting in it being hit by a Hummer H2. Jenner’s vehicle went on to hit a Prius following the initial impact. While Jenner was not injured in the crash, reports state that one person, the 59-year-old female driver of the Lexus, was killed in the crash.
Initially, Jenner had claimed that paparazzi photographers were following him, which may have played a role in the crash. A vehicular manslaughter case has been opened, and authorities will investigate this claim along with everyone else involved in the crash.
One person involved in the crash, a 29-year-old woman in the Prius, has claimed that Jenner’s vehicle started the chain reaction. Interestingly, while that may or may not be the case, the 29-year-old woman’s driver’s license had been suspended, and the 59-year-old woman’s license had allegedly expired years before the accident.
The 29-year-old claims that she had stopped because of backed up traffic from a traffic light that was ahead. This may have accounted for the rear-end accident taking place. The police are still investigating if anyone had been using a cellphone at the time of the accident.
